NATIONAL FENCING FOUNDATION

The National Fencing Foundation of Washington, D.C., Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing the personal character, academic achievement and athletic excellence of our youth through the sport of fencing.
Athletic and Academic Excellence
The National Fencing Foundation of Washington, D.C., Inc. was incorporated in Virginia in March, 2007. Its Certificate of Incorporation is on file with the Virginia State Corporation Commission. Organized under Chapter 10 of the Virginia Non-stock Corporation Act, its officers consist of Alexander Ryjik, President, T. Mark Miller, Treasurer, Philip Sbarbaro, Secretary and J. Dennis Molloy, Esq., General Counsel.
Pursuant to its Articles of Incorporation and its Bylaws, the National Fencing Foundation of Washington, D.C. is operated exclusively for nonprofit, educational and charitable purposes and activities, within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to foster and advance a greater awareness and appreciation of the art and science of swordsmanship ("fencing"). Consistent with these goals, the National Fencing Foundation of Washington, D.C. applied for and has received approval from the I.R.S. as a tax-exempt public charity, effective March, 2007. Further consistent with these goals, no director or officer receives any compensation for performing any duty or activity as an officer or director of the National Fencing Foundation of Washington, D.C. All forms, both state and federal, have been filed before the solicitation of any public funds.
National Fencing Foundation of Washington, D.C., Inc. is a member in good standing with the United States Fencing Association, Capitol Area Division.
